Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital is looking for an excellent Neurologist to join our new Neuroscience/ Neuromuscular campus. The center is be located in the central area of Yakima adjacent to Water’s Edge our recently opened comprehensive pain center and Yakima Spine and Neurosurgery which will open in January 2011. The right candidate will join our stellar group of Board certified Neurosurgeons, Pain Physicians, and Physiatrists providing care for a service area of over 800,000. Our Pain and Neurosurgery practices are known for innovations in patient care, knowing and respecting that every individual contributes to the well-being of their patients. Practice provides electronic medical records system that is interfaced with the hospital, other clinics, and laboratories. With the support of an efficient, professional staff, the Neurosciences campus will be the optimal place for the dedicated physician to practice medicine

WHAT YOU BRING
Medical degree from an accredited school. Experience: Graduation from an accredited residency program and Neurology fellowship. Ability to provide comprehensive diagnostic studies including nerve conduction studies and EMG testing. Certificate/License: Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialists, Board Certified or board eligible in Neurology. Current medical license to practice in Washington State or eligible for Washington licensure.

Who we are: The Sleep Center at Memorial is the busiest and most advanced full service sleep center in Central Washington. We provide sleep services at Memorial Hospital, the premiere tertiary care center in our area. We employ 12 full time registered sleep technologists in a facility that just completed expansion to a 10 bed sleep lab. The lab historically operates at capacity 6 nights a week. We are in the process of accreditation and wish to bring full time sleep clinicians into the practice immediately. The expansion allows us to integrate the clinic and sleep lab into one unit under the Memorial umbrella, providing the foundation and strength of Memorial sleep technologists and lab with experienced clinical physicians and staff to create the ideal integrated sleep clinic. We offer an exceptional compensation and benefit package.
Who are we looking for… We seek well trained sleep clinicians and a physician leader who are enthusiastic and committed to superb patient care. Sleep Board Certification or Eligibility is required, along with Washington State License or ability to be licensed in Washington State.

WHAT WE DO: Working collaboratively with local primary care physicians, our Hospitalist team provides high-quality patient-centered care at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Memorial has an outstanding medical staff, including access to all medical and surgical sub-specialties. We offer flexible scheduling with a reasonable workload, and a comprehensive compensation package. There are opportunities for faculty appointment and medical student teaching.
